Candy AI generates video in two separate places, and the difference matters more for your bill than for the output.

Live Action Mode is the one built into chat. It produces 120-second animated clips in which your companion moves, gestures and reacts to your messages, and it is the feature that separates Candy AI from most companion apps at this price. Candy AI describes the same capability in its own FAQ: your companion can hold voice conversations, generate personalised images, and appear in AI-generated videos shaped by your inputs.

Candy Shorts is a separate surface, a scrollable feed of short AI clips that Candy AI promotes from its own homepage. It is browsing rather than creating: you are watching generated clips instead of directing your own companion.

The cost is the catch, and it is the same catch as images. Video is not included with the subscription in any meaningful sense. Candy AI gives every plan a batch of tokens spent across voice, chat, images and video from one shared pool, and when it runs out you top up. Is There a Candy AI App?
