Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about StartupHub.ai
What is StartupHub.ai?
StartupHub.ai is the first database built to track the AI ecosystem and the #1 source of AI startup intelligence and news. With millions of data points spanning startups, investors, funding rounds, founders, and market trends, we serve founders, investors, analysts, and journalists who need to keep up with the ecosystem's developments and participants. Our AI agents enrich profiles daily so the data stays fresh without any manual input — and our editorial team publishes original reporting, analysis, and market maps that the industry relies on.
Who uses StartupHub.ai?
Founders use it to get discovered, claim their profile, and reach buyers, investors, and analysts already using StartupHub.ai to source deals. Investors use it to source deals, research sectors, and track portfolio companies. Sales and BD teams use it to find and verify contact emails for founders at AI companies. Researchers and journalists use it to map competitive landscapes and track funding trends.
How do I get my startup listed?
Create a free account and click "Submit Profile." Enter your website URL and our AI automatically fills in your startup's details — description, sector tags, funding stage, and more. Listing your startup costs $5/month or $40/year (save 33%) — cancel anytime. Real builders only; we keep SEO farmers and dev shops out by design. You can also just search for your company — if it's not in our database yet, we auto-create the profile from public data.

Is it free? What do paid plans include?
Search, Market Map Maker, and reading any profile are free. Listing your own startup costs $5/month or $40/year per profile (cancel anytime). On top of that, Pro Lite ($30/mo) adds 50 tracked profiles with change alerts, 150 profile exports, verified founder emails, and bulk email finder. Pro ($50/mo) increases those to 100 tracked profiles and 500 exports. You can also Boost your profile from $2/day (or Superboost from $3.50/day) to appear in the ad slider on every page and feature first in trending sidebars.
How does the email finder work?
Pro Lite and Pro subscribers can find and verify professional email addresses for founders and executives directly from any profile page. Our email finder searches multiple sources to surface the most likely address, then runs real-time verification to confirm it's deliverable — not just formatted correctly. Results show a confidence score so you know what you're working with before you send. Useful for investor outreach, partnership conversations, and sales prospecting.
Can I track competitors and get alerts?
Yes. Add any startup, investor, or founder to your watchlist and get email alerts the moment something changes — new funding rounds, team additions, product launches, news mentions, or score changes. Pro Lite tracks up to 50 profiles; Pro tracks up to 100. You can also compare any two companies side-by-side and build unlimited curated lists to organize your research.
What is Market Map Maker?
Market Map Maker is a free visual tool for building competitive landscape maps. Use AI to generate an entire map from a single text prompt, reverse-engineer one from an image upload, or import via CSV. Our proprietary logo-fetching API works with our RAG system to create full profiles with square and horizontal logos — perfect for your market map. Drag-and-drop companies manually, switch between square, pill, and card views, and export as PNG, JPG, or PowerPoint.

How does AI enrichment work?
We developed proprietary RAG systems purpose-built for the startup and B2B ecosystem — designed for prospecting, market intelligence, and competitive analysis. Our AI agents run daily to keep every profile accurate and current, pulling funding history, headcount, headquarters, founding dates, team members, and more from across the web. With access to over 700 million entities across the web combined with our own enrichment pipeline, we don't just retrieve data — we predict it. Our systems identify stealth startups and their founders with zero prior data points, a capability unmatched by any other platform. StartupHub.ai has become the industry leader in AI-powered startup intelligence.
