Payfuture Integrates Shopify for India Payments

London-based payments firm Payfuture has integrated with Shopify, enabling merchants to offer local payment options in India. This move targets the rapidly expanding Indian e-commerce sector.

Shopify merchants can now access popular Indian payment methods, including Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and NetBanking, through Payfuture’s single payment app connection.

India’s online retail market is expected to hit $150, 170 billion by 2027, driven by mobile-first consumers and trust in domestic payment systems.

“This integration makes digital commerce more accessible, scalable, and locally optimised,” said Manpreet Haer, CEO and Co-Founder of Payfuture.

Payfuture focuses on helping global merchants operate effectively in challenging, high-growth emerging markets.

The company’s strategy involves deep investment in infrastructure and regional expertise to facilitate merchant expansion.
