Surveys of 5,000 and 30,000 users show frequent model switching and a large cohort of new users Use.ai wants to onboard early.

Use.ai said it passed one million monthly active users less than a year after launch with one workspace for more than 10 models.

The San Francisco company bundles GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek into one subscription so users keep context while switching models mid-conversation.

That pitch lands because model choice now affects budgets and workflows, not just chat quality.

Co-founder Ihor Herasymov, a former M and A and tech investment banker who launched seven businesses and scaled one to more than 100 employees and 3 million dollars in annual revenue, frames the product around his own 1,000 dollars a month in premium subscriptions.

He said those accounts hold years of preferences and files that users do not want to lose when a better model appears.

Use.ai offers a free Answer Engine on configured open-weights models and puts frontier models behind a paid tier for deeper reasoning.

Independent listings note the interface also lets users compare responses side by side to pick the right model for the task, a workflow the announcement describes as switching mid-thread.

Its surveys point to why users juggle models: 42 percent of more than 5,000 users switch for better quality and 36.5 percent switch by task.

A larger survey of more than 30,000 people found 54 percent had tried AI only a few times or were new, which Use.ai links to its estimate of four billion future regular users.

The company is now building automatic orchestration to route tasks without asking users to track benchmarks, but that routing is still described as in development.

Herasymov said the company builds for consumers, not developers, and wants its team to handle model selection.

That stance contrasts with developer-first routers and mirrors consumer aggregators that sell simplicity over benchmarks.

The next step it promises is action, not just answers, like booking a haircut via calendar access or researching and buying running shoes after confirmation.

Use.ai has not disclosed pricing for the paid tier, retention beyond the million mark, or how it preserves context across vendors with different data policies.

For now the value is immediate: fewer subscriptions to manage and less copy-pasting between tabs to continue a conversation.

Whether automatic task routing can stay accurate as models shift monthly will determine if the workspace keeps that advantage.

If it keeps context portable and routing reliable, teams that currently pay for multiple separate subscriptions can consolidate spend and keep institutional memory in one place.
