For the first time, South African consumers will be able to participate in Amazon's annual shopping event, Prime Day. The sale is scheduled to run from June 23 through June 29.

Prime membership also unlocks access to Prime Video, featuring a selection of award-winning Amazon Originals and licensed international content, including local productions like 'Rise: The Siya Kolisi Story'.

Customers can sign up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime. Following the trial, membership is priced at R59 per month or R399 per year. This annual option offers a saving of R309, representing a 44% discount.

The membership program also includes early access to deals during major shopping events and access to cloud gaming via Amazon Luna, alongside free monthly PC games and a Twitch channel subscription.
