Amazon's (NASDAQ: AMZN) cloud computing branch is staking a grand $100 million to create the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, a specialized program designed to foster business innovation through the use of Generative AI.
The $100 million fund will be allocated to establish and operate the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, including the hiring of a comprehensive team of AI and machine learning experts, data scientists, engineers, and solution architects. This team will work collaboratively with businesses to develop custom Generative AI solutions.
The fund will also support the creation of training programs, workshops, and strategic engagements. These resources will guide businesses in understanding and applying Generative AI, navigating technical and business challenges, developing proofs of concept, and planning the deployment of scalable solutions.
Furthermore, the investment ensures the provision of necessary resources and tools for researching, developing, and implementing cutting-edge Generative AI applications. It underlines AWS's commitment to promoting access to Generative AI and enabling businesses to reimagine their operations with this transformative technology.
AWS CEO, Adam Selipsky, views this move as the next innovation wave in the cloud, with the belief that Generative AI will significantly boost demand for cloud computing. Leading Generative AI application ChatGPT had its SimilarWeb results for released as of late, reporting a staggering 1.8 billion users per month, up from 1.6 billion in March.
