Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has announced the second a16z New Media Fellowship cohort, bringing together 65 storytellers, creators, and communications leaders. This group, highlighted by the a16z Blog, represents a diverse cross-section of professionals at the forefront of digital media innovation.

The cohort, which begins its program next week and runs through the summer, features individuals from various high-profile backgrounds. Notable fellows include economist and writer Noah Smith of Noahpinion, Chris Painter, President of METR, and Aly Pavela, Head of Community Communications at Stripe.

Diverse Talent Across Tech and Media

The fellowship also includes Rohan Kumar, Head of Vertical Platforms at MrBeast, and Hannah Broadhurst, Head of Entertainment & Content Marketing at Amazon. Danielle Meister Lurie, Head of Global Comms, Social Media, & Film at Zipline, is also among the selected.

Further demonstrating the breadth of expertise, the cohort features Thijs Simonian, Co-Director of Stanford TreeHacks, and Ian Curtis, a Technical Staff Member at World Labs. Madison Kanna, a Software Engineer at Baseten, and Grace Werner, VP of Growth at the Foundation for American Innovation, are also participating.

The group also includes Katherine Dee, writer of default.blog, Austin Schumacher, formerly of UTA and Coinbase, and Anu Atluru, writer of Working Theorys. Adel Wu, Growth at Reducto, and Christian Catalini, Founder of the MIT Cryptoeconomics Lab, round out a distinguished list.
