As part of InnoTech, the AL Maritime activity connects a wide range of global markets to essential molecules across borders and oceans. Air Liquide Maritime is organized along four business units, namely Offshore Energies, Cryogenic Supply, Global Rare Gases and Global Helium, and is also supporting OCEOS, a joint venture to offer CO2 shipping and barging services for CCS projects across Europe. The organisation has grown significantly over the last few years and regroups 10 sites located in 9 countries with more than 200 employees.
Air Liquide Maritime Sdn Bhd specializes in cryogenic tank and equipment rental for the offshore and maritime industries as well as in cryogenic transport of molecules, and provides a full range of repair and testing services.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Demonstrate leadership in process and operational safety at all times.
Review and understand various technical information from the client.
Prepare designs and documents such as; develop BoD, process datasheets, HMB, PFD, P&ID, C&E, line list, line sizing, blowdown calculations, PSV calculations.
Review vendor designs including; PSV and control valve sizing, thermal calculations.
Perform simulations under the guidance of the Manager, Process Engineering.
Develop deep understanding of membrane systems, membrane performance and take responsibility to select and optimize the type of system and membrane to be utilized.
Review and clarification of related vendor supplied technical documentation.
Conduct site visits at fabricator’s facilities to perform P&ID checks and FATs.
Support Sales and business development activities as needed.
Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities either onshore or offshore projects as required.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety rules

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering
4 to 6 years work experience as a Process Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of international Oil & Gas standards
Experience in gas separations; experience with membranes preferred
BOSIET and related certification for offshore work would be added advantage
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Simulation software such as HYSYS
Develop process deliverables such as Basis of Design (BoD), PFD, HMB, P&ID, C&E, Line List, Utility Consumption List, Process Datasheets & PSV Sizing Calculations.
Experience in HAZOP participation.
Demonstrate ability to present technical information to promote technology and ability to coordinate with cross functional teams
Enthusiastic with a very strong work ethic
Proactive in problem solving
Confident communicator with strong command of written and verbal English
Organized and capable to prioritize
Ability to interact professionally with business contacts both inside and outside of the company
