CARPL.ai has become the first Radiology AI platform to receive a CE mark, enabling healthcare institutions across Europe to access and deploy over 80 AI applications from more than 40 AI vendors globally, driving improved patient outcomes.

“Our CE marking follows closely on the heels of our FDA clearance maintaining our leadership position as the most compliant and safe way to deploy AI in clinical workflows,” said Vidur Mahajan, CEO of CARPL.ai. “It is widely debated as to whether regulatory clearance is even needed for AI platforms; at CARPL, we put patients above all else, and hence this decision was obvious for us.”

Not only is this a significant milestone for CARPL.ai in its journey to be the safest way to bring AI into clinical practice, but it also moves the needle for the AI industry allowing CE-approved clinical AI applications to be deployed with a compliant, safe and secure environment. CARPL’s universal AI viewer, which integrates with any PACS system, enables radiologists to accept, reject or modify AI outputs and streamline clinical tasks such as exam prioritisation and report auto-population. By providing a unified user interface, the platform eliminates the need to navigate multiple systems, allowing healthcare institutions to fully realize the encapsulated value of the entire AI ecosystem.

“As we now enter the European market, we are excited to partner with hospitals and clinics across Europe to bring radiology AI into their departments. Our ISO13485 compliant software development and AI integration practices, combined with our stringent ISO27001/2022 compliant security practices, should make us the obvious choice for healthcare providers in the region,” added Dhruv Sahai, Chief Operating Officer at CARPL.ai.

CARPL’s AI platform is used by leading healthcare institutions globally, including Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, University Hospitals in Cleveland, and the Singapore Government Healthcare System. Beyond the marketplace, CARPL’s platform acts as an MLOps platform allowing users to build, test, orchestrate, deploy and then monitor AI in clinical practice.

CARPL’s CE-marked platform will be showcased at RSNA 2024, where attendees can explore how AI is transforming radiology.
