uiAgent, an AI platform for the accounting industry, has raised a $4.6 million seed round. The investment was led by Marathon Management Partners with participation from Rerail. As part of the deal, Marathon's Founding Partner, Chase Packard, will join the uiAgent board of directors.
Accelerating AI Adoption for CPAs
The New York-based company provides an AI agent automation platform built specifically for accounting firms. It supports both on-premise and cloud deployments, offering a library of agents for workflows in Audit and Client Accounting Services (CAS). This technology moves beyond traditional Robotic Process Automation by offering more flexible and comprehensive solutions.
In less than a year, uiAgent has achieved seven figures in annual recurring revenue.
The company’s platform addresses the accounting industry's skilled labor shortage and high volume of repetitive work. While competitors like Vic.ai and Trullion also target accounting workflows, uiAgent emphasizes its customizable, end-to-end platform that can be deployed in days. This focus is attracting attention from many Fintech startups aiming to modernize professional services.
Consequently, clients report significant efficiency gains. These include an 80% reduction in manual data entry and a 25% faster monthly close. The platform also accelerates Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audit completion by 35% and fully automates journal entry creation.
uiAgent will use the new capital to accelerate the development and deployment of its AI agent automation technology to more accounting firms and large enterprises.
