Source.ag raises $17.5M to advance AI for controlled environment agriculture

Source.ag raised $17.5 million to expand its artificial intelligence platform for agriculture.

The Series B round was led by Astanor Ventures. It also included participation from Enza Zaden and grower cooperative Harvest House.

This new investment brings the company's total funding to over $60 million.

Controlled environment agriculture (CEA) is highly efficient but needs more expert growers. Source.ag's software addresses this shortage by codifying cultivation expertise. The platform acts as an AI co-pilot for greenhouse operators. It centralizes data and helps automate key decisions. It provides tools for precise yield forecasting and autonomous crop management. This technology increases crop output while improving quality and efficiency for growers. The software is already deployed in over 300 greenhouses across 2,500 hectares. It helps grow daily produce for an estimated 40 million people.

Source.ag will use the funds to accelerate its global growth and expand its AI product suite.
