Ada: Welcome to Today in AI, I'm Ada.
Sam: And I'm Sam. Today, we're unpacking Elon Musk's latest AI revenue prediction for SpaceX and the ripple effect on AI infrastructure stocks.
Ada: Let's kick things off with a story that's making waves across the market. SpaceX, or SPCX, surged a remarkable nine point six percent yesterday. This jump comes after Elon Musk made a pretty audacious statement: he expects AI revenue to outpace all other SpaceX business lines within just a few months. The stock closed at one hundred forty-six dollars and fifteen cents, extending a recovery that has seen shares climb over twenty-six percent from their early August low.
Sam: That's a huge claim, even for Musk. It really speaks to the sheer scale of the internal AI projects he must be referring to. We've seen hints of AI applications in Starlink for network optimization, and obviously in autonomous flight and rocket landing systems. But for it to become the dominant revenue driver so quickly suggests either a massive new AI service offering we haven't heard about, or an incredibly efficient monetization of their existing AI capabilities within their core aerospace and satellite businesses. Either way, investors are clearly buying into the vision.
