Orbital has secured an undisclosed amount of funding in its first round, led by Andreessen Horowitz's a16z Speedrun. This capital will finance its inaugural test mission, "Orbital-1," designed to prove the concept of its AI-powered data centers in low-Earth orbit. The company aims to demonstrate its technology before Elon Musk's Starlink achieves similar capabilities.
