Amazon is doubling down on France, announcing plans to invest more than €15 billion over three years from 2026 to 2028. This represents the e-commerce giant's largest investment in the country to date, signaling a significant commitment to its French operations.
Job Creation and Infrastructure Expansion
The substantial investment is earmarked for expanding Amazon's logistics network, bolstering its cloud infrastructure, and advancing its artificial intelligence capabilities within France. This initiative is projected to generate over 7,000 permanent jobs nationwide.
The job creation begins in 2026 with the opening of three new distribution centers in Illiers-Combray, Beauvais, and Colombier-Saugnieu, followed by another in Ensisheim in late 2027. These facilities are designed to enhance delivery speeds and product availability across the country.
