Endra AI, a Stockholm-based startup, has secured a $50 million Series A investment led by Andreessen Horowitz. This funding fuels its global expansion into the United States and United Kingdom, with new offices in New York, San Francisco, and London. The move positions Endra to tackle the escalating engineering crunch in construction.

Construction faces a growing bottleneck: the capacity of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering. The demand for data centers, electrification, and net-zero infrastructure intensifies pressure on an already constrained global workforce. Endra’s AI platform aims to scale engineering expertise, not just provide another drafting tool.

The platform, designed for enterprise consultancies, ingests standard building models and integrates with BIM tools like Revit. It reconstructs buildings in 3D, then automates system design, device placement, routing, model generation, and compliance documentation. An electrical design for a 500,000-square-foot commercial building, typically a two-month process, can be completed in less than a day using Endra.

The US is now central to Endra’s growth strategy. Co-Founder and President Anton Juric is spearheading the US market entry, engaging with major engineering firms. "The shift to AI-native engineering is underway," Juric stated. "Firms that move first gain capacity, faster timelines, and a new way to scale."

Endra is also deepening its UK presence. The London office serves as a strategic hub for European and Middle Eastern clients. The company plans to reach 100 employees globally, hiring across engineering, sales, and customer success in its new locations. Hadla Bergman, a Product Engineer, emphasizes building the platform to local codes and standards, a critical engineering challenge for market adoption.

This expansion sets the stage for Epoch, Endra’s launch event in Las Vegas on September 14, 2026. The event will unveil its electrical module and vision for AI-native MEP engineering, featuring speakers including chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov. "The industry has spent twenty-five years waiting for software that understands the actual engineering work," said Niklas Lindgren, CEO and Co-Founder of Endra. "That wait is ending."

Endra’s ambition is to make MEP engineering the starting point for construction’s future. For founders and investors, Endra’s approach to AI for mechanical electrical plumbing design signals a crucial shift from merely assisting human engineers to augmenting their core design capabilities. This move, similar to how AI for mechanical electrical plumbing design is redefining pre-construction optimization, suggests a broader industry embrace of AI beyond simple automation. The company is actively hiring, with roles listed at endra.ai/careers. This Endra AI platform aims for speed, precision, and intelligence in every major building design.
