RealWear, a long-standing player in industrial augmented reality, is making a significant pivot with the RealWear Arc 3 launch. The company, known for its rugged headsets, is introducing a sleeker, lighter device paired with a new natural language voice operating system, Ari OS, aiming to democratize AR for a broader range of frontline workers.
The Arc 3, weighing a mere 179 grams, is engineered for instant, intuitive use, moving away from the bulk often associated with industrial AR. Its see-through display boasts double retina resolution, delivering 40 percent more detail than competitors, thanks to a dual-camera system. This lighter form factor is designed to unlock new opportunities in sectors like logistics, warehousing, and healthcare, extending RealWear's reach beyond heavy-duty environments.
