Israeli-American AI startup, DeepCure, secured an additional $24.6 million for their Series A-1 funding, led by IAG Capital Partners. The round extension also saw participation from existing investors, brings DeepCure's total funding to over $72 million. The investment will enhance their immunology and inflammation programs and expand their AI and automated chemistry capabilities.
DeepCure developed a Generative AI and physics-based engine that revolutionizes the discovery of small molecule therapies for complex targets. Their engine efficiently maps interaction sites on proteins and designs new, synthesizable molecules with optimal properties.
They also created a cutting-edge automated chemistry synthesis platform that enhances the speed, volume, and variety of molecular testing.
DeepCure previously closed a $40 million Series A in 2021, led by Morningside Ventures, with participation TLV Partners, Sapir Venture Partners, and Benon Group. The startup was founded in 2018 by Joseph Jacobson, Kfir Schreiber, and Thrasyvoulos Karydis, former MIT researchers to pioneer AI-enabled small molecule discovery, aiming to address significant unmet medical needs.
