Motion, a Y Combinator-backed startup, secured $38 million in Series C and preemptive C2 funding. Scale Venture Partners, with Stacey Bishop leading, spearheaded the round. Therefore, this latest Motion AI funding brings the company's total capital raised to $75 million.

The company achieved a $550 million post-money valuation for its C2 round. Motion develops an integrated AI agent bundle specifically for small and mid-sized businesses. Its platform aims to provide a comprehensive suite of AI tools, similar to Microsoft Office for productivity.

Motion's Rapid B2B Growth

Motion launched its AI agent bundle for businesses in May. Consequently, this segment of its operations quickly grew to over 10,000 B2B customers. The company also generated $10 million in annual recurring revenue within four months. This rapid expansion directly preceded the recent Motion AI funding.

Founders Harry Qi, Omid Rooholfada, Ethan Yu, and Chander Ramesh established Motion in 2019. Their initial product was an AI calendaring and task management app. Furthermore, the company's integrated agents handle tasks like scheduling, sales, customer support, and content creation. These agents seamlessly integrate with hundreds of common SMB tools, including Google Workspace and Salesforce.

Additional investors in this Motion AI funding round include HOF Capital, 468 Capital, and SignalFire. Valor Equity Partners, Fellows Fund, Leonis Capital, and Apollo Projects also participated. Y Combinator has participated in every funding round.

The company charges based on usage, offering various pricing tiers for its AI agents.
