NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang declared that everything will eventually have a virtual twin, announcing a significant partnership with Dassault Systèmes at 3DEXPERIENCE World. The collaboration merges NVIDIA's accelerated computing and AI with Dassault's virtual twin platforms to build a shared industrial AI architecture, designed to simulate products, factories, and even biological systems using physics-based AI.

From Digital Models to World Models

Huang emphasized that AI will become essential infrastructure, akin to electricity or the internet. This partnership, the largest between the two companies in over 25 years, aims to enable engineers to work at scales previously unimaginable, potentially 100 to a million times greater.

Dassault Systèmes CEO Pascal Daloz described virtual twins not as mere applications, but as 'knowledge factories.' The initiative focuses on establishing 'industry world models'—science-validated AI systems grounded in physics—to serve as critical platforms for research and development.

The collaboration integrates NVIDIA's AI and computing power with Dassault's 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which boasts over 45 million users. This fusion allows for the design and simulation of both geometry and behavior, enabling exploration of vastly larger design spaces earlier in the development cycle.

AI Companions for Engineers

The partnership will introduce AI-driven virtual companions. These agents, powered by NVIDIA's Nemotron open models and Dassault's industry world models, will assist engineers by accessing deep industrial context to provide actionable intelligence.

Huang envisions every designer having a 'team of companions,' enhancing rather than replacing human creativity. This shift aims to empower engineers, allowing them to invent the future rather than simply automate the past.

Daloz stressed that the goal is not automation, but invention. The partnership seeks to open new possibilities, help companies avoid costly mistakes, and create entirely new product categories.

Factories Reimagined

A key theme was the transformation of factories into dynamic, software-defined systems operated as virtual twins. Dassault Systèmes is deploying NVIDIA-powered AI factories via its OUTSCALE sovereign cloud to meet data residency and security needs.

The companies aim to amplify engineers' capabilities, with AI companions handling exploratory and repetitive tasks. This frees up human talent for higher-level creative and strategic work, ultimately driving innovation across various industries.
