To make pathogen surveillance more cost-effective, AlphaEvolve is being used to optimize metagenomic sequencing data analysis, speeding up outbreak detection.

Technologies like AlphaGenome and Protein Function annotation are being explored for faster characterization of pathogens from sequence data.

Trusted researchers are gaining access to DeepMind's latest AI systems to speed up vaccine and countermeasure design. Isomorphic Labs has established a dedicated unit to rapidly deploy its drug design engine for naturally occurring pandemics and AI misuse risks.
