About
Developing a game changing device for the delaying of preterm birth, which is the most common pregnancy complication (1 in 10 women worldwide), and the leading cause of child morbidity and mortality until the age of 5. PregnanTech has developed LIONESS, a novel, non-surgical solution for delaying preterm birth. Inserted in a 3-5 minute out-patient procedure, the LIONESS's unique structure allows it to stay stable in place throughout the entire pregnancy, with a self-release mechanism in case of active labor. LIONESS was successfully tested in a range of preclinical studies, and a first in women (FIH) clinical safety trial is currently in progress. Findings are reassuring and attest to the vast potential of the device. We are planning on conducting a multi-center pivotal trial next year, and are actively looking for medical institutions worldwide to help us conduct it. If you are a part of a medical institution and are interested in taking an active part in revolutionizing the future of obstetrics with PregnanTech, do not hesitate to reach out!
