Pentaomix

Pentaomix has developed a breakthrough modality for biopsy imaging which enables its users to analyze biopsies with unprecedented accuracy. It is based on a novel optical setup whichallows its users to acquire the spectrum at each pixel of the sample in the range of 400-800 nm during the scanning of the slide.The spectral information, which cannot be observed with the eye, is made available here for the first time.Thorough and extensive studies allowed us to understand the biomedical source of the spectral differences between normal and cancer cells, based on genetic and medical reasoning.This spectral data significantly improves the ability to identify clinical and pathological parameters, creating a solution that can bypass the existing barriers. It enables pathologists to make faster and more accurate diagnoses - identifying cancerous cells and tissues, cell types and other clinical parameters at a new standard in histology and cytologyfully integrated into the WSI system.
