Koi developed an endpoint security platform that provides comprehensive visibility, risk analysis, and policy enforcement for self-provisioned software, including code packages, containers, extensions, and AI models. Its core value proposition is to secure the 'software perimeter' and 'agentic endpoint' which traditional security tools often overlook, enabling enterprises to safely deploy AI agents and other non-binary software. The platform, featuring an AI-first risk engine called Wings and a Supply Chain Gateway, helps organizations proactively block or remediate risky or non-compliant software before it reaches the endpoint. Koi was acquired by Palo Alto Networks for an estimated $400 million to enhance their AI security and endpoint protection offerings.
