Chemi Peres

Chemi Peres is Co-Founder & Managing General Partner of Pitango Venture Capital, the largest venture capital group in Israel, with over $2.3 billion under management. He serves on the boards of Pitango portfolio companies including Via Transportation, Taboola, Duda, Totango, Radwin and Venn.city He founded and managed Mofet Israel Technology Fund, one of Israel’s first venture capital funds, which was traded on the TASE. Chemi is a board member at Teva Pharmaceuticals traded on NYSE. He was an investor and a board member of several other publicly traded companies such as Aladdin, AudioCodes, BackWeb, Koor Industries, Orckit Vocaltec and Voltaire to mention a few. Prior to his venture capital activities Chemi was VP Marketing & BD at DSI, and a senior consultant to Israel Aerospace Industries. Before that he served as a pilot in the IAF for 10 years. Chemi holds MBA and B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from Tel Aviv University. Mr. Peres was co-founder of the Israel Venture Association, IVA (Now known as IATI) and served as Chairman in 2003-2004. For 3 years he served as Chairman of the Israel America Chamber of Commerce (2008-2011). in 2012 Mr. Peres joined the board of directors of SFI (Social Finance Israel). He is a board member in additional non-for-profit organizations. Currently Chemi is Chairman of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. In addition Mr. Peres is Chairman of the Pearls of Wisdom nanotechnology initiative.
