Lunar.dev Secures $6 Million Seed for API Monitoring

Lunar.dev has secured $6 million in Seed funding to enhance its unique platform for third-party API monitoring and usage optimization. The round was led by Uncork Capital, with participation from Angular Ventures.

The startup, founded in 2022 by Eyal Solomon and Roy Gabbay, will use the capital to develop its commercial SaaS product due to launch next year.

Lunar.dev has developed an open-source platform to enhance organizational control and visibility over API consumption. It arrives as APIs become increasingly critical to the functionality of modern software, often resulting in substantial costs and operational challenges. Organizations currently face difficulties due to the lack of proper tools to monitor and manage their API usage, leading to unexpected high costs and operational disruptions when issues go unnoticed until they become critical.
