This round was led by Vela Partners, with participation from NextView Ventures, Maxitech Ventures, Eniac Ventures, and other investors. The funding brings Bito's total capital raised to $8.8 million, following a previous pre-seed round. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its product capabilities, enhance integrations with development software, and grow its engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.

Bito's AI Code Review Agent automates the code review process, identifying issues, suggesting fixes, and even implementing them automatically. This agent integrates with popular code repositories like GitHub, BitBucket, and GitLab, supporting over 50 programming languages. The platform distinguishes itself through advanced reasoning capabilities, providing context-aware assistance based on a deep understanding of the entire codebase.

The company claims its AI offers significant advantages over competitors like GitHub Copilot, boasting faster pull request merges, fewer regressions, and a high return on investment for its enterprise clients, including PubMatic and Gainsight. Bito's technology leverages techniques like Abstract Syntax Tree parsing and symbol indexing to analyze code in a human-like manner, improving code performance, scalability, and security.
