ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced self-driven Senior JavaScript Engineer to join in on our mission to deliver the greatest igaming experience to our customers. As a part of our multinational frontend team, you would set the technical direction that other engineers build on, designing and maintaining the shared frontend framework that our frontend teams deliver from.

In close collaboration with designers and our backend peers, we get to work with a broad variety of initiatives: everything from responsible gaming and payments to the casino lobby layout and new market entries.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Architecting, improving, and maintaining our internal front-end framework and foundational platform
Designing generic, reusable code for development teams, including APIs, extension points, deprecation paths, and backward compatibility
Championing Developer Experience (DX) and acting as a developer advocate across engineering teams
Driving the foundational front-end development powering LeoVegas.com, supporting new brand launches and market expansions
Setting technical direction, standards, and best practices across front-end engineering
Coaching and mentoring engineers across our multinational front-end teams
Developing high-quality, product-focused JavaScript applications to deliver a smooth and engaging user experience

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Essential Skills:

Proven experience with JavaScript, alongside hands-on working experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js
Solid knowledge of GraphQL
A proven track record of designing and evolving shared code, libraries, frameworks, or design systems consumed by other teams - including versioning, deprecation, and migration strategies
Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and growing other engineers

Nice to Have:

Experience leveraging AI-powered developer tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot
Curiosity and enthusiasm for adopting AI to enhance engineering practices and software delivery
Comfort with front-end observability and monitoring tools
Experience integrating a headless CMS into a component-driven frontend
Familiarity with build tooling at monorepo scale
