The IT Asset Management & Deployment Specialist is responsible for the full lifecycle management of technology assets across Service Experts locations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, device deployment, asset recovery, lifecycle tracking, compliance, maintenance of asset records, and coordination of employee onboarding and offboarding activities. The position serves as the primary custodian of IT hardware assets, ensuring equipment is properly procured, configured, assigned, tracked, recovered, redeployed, and disposed of in accordance with company policies and financial controls.

Primary Responsibilities:
 

Asset Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventory records for all IT assets, including:

    • Laptops

    • Desktop computers

    • Tablets/iPads

    • Mobile phones

    • Docking stations

    • Monitors

    • Printers

    • Peripherals

  • Ensure all assets are properly tagged and entered into the asset tracking system.

  • Perform periodic inventory audits and reconciliations.

  • Validate asset records for accuracy, completeness, location, and user assignment.

Asset Deployment & Configuration

  • Prepare and deploy equipment to new hires and existing employees.

  • Coordinate equipment fulfillment for onboarding events.

  • Configure devices including:

    • Windows setup

    • Microsoft Intune enrollment

    • Security configuration

    • Application installation

  • Maintain standard device build images and deployment procedures.

  • Provide shipment tracking and confirmation of asset delivery.

Asset Recovery & Redeployment

  • Manage recovery of equipment from:

    • Employee terminations

    • Resignations

    • Center closures

    • Mergers and acquisitions

    • Technology refresh programs

  • Inspect returned assets and determine:

    • Reusable

    • Repairable

    • Recyclable

    • Return-to-lessor

  • Coordinate equipment refurbishment and redeployment programs. 

Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Track assets from procurement through disposal.

  • Monitor warranty, lease, and replacement schedules.

  • Coordinate equipment returns to leasing companies.

  • Manage hardware refresh initiatives.

  • Identify and remove inactive or unused assets from service. 

Mobile Device Management

  • Maintain inventory of mobile phones and tablets.

  • Coordinate activations, upgrades, replacements, and carrier transfers.

  • Work with wireless providers regarding:

    • Device provisioning

    • Tracking

    • Returns

    • Billing verification

  • Monitor unused devices and recommend cost-saving opportunities. 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce weekly and monthly reports including:

    • Asset inventory counts

    • Available inventory

    • Assigned inventory

    • Lost or missing assets

    • Lease expiration schedules

    • Redeployment activity

    • Inventory valuation

  • Support Finance, Procurement, IT Leadership, Internal Audit, and Compliance teams.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Corporate IT policies

    • Information security requirements

    • Asset management standards

    • Audit requirements

  • Maintain complete asset documentation and audit trails.

  • Support SOX and internal audit reviews involving technology assets.

Vendor Coordination

  • Act as primary contact for:

    • Leasing providers

    • Asset recovery vendors

    • Mobile carriers

    • Hardware suppliers

    • Logistics partners

  • Coordinate pickup, shipping, repair, and disposal activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Experience: 6+ years • Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED Equal Opportunity Employer.
