OpenAI says GPT-6.1 Sol is now the primary model behind CodeRabbit's security agent for complex codebases.
I think that reframes code review from checking a diff to interrogating how that diff ripples through shared libraries and dependencies.
It is a needed step.
CodeRabbit says Sol connects behavior across files and components during pull-request review and in its Deep Scan across repos including dependencies and component interactions.
That Deep Scan feeds into CodeRabbit Secure, which extends the same investigation to linked repositories such as a shared authentication library.
For user-selected findings, it can attempt exploit verification in an isolated sandbox and draft a pull request with a proposed fix for human approval.
CodeRabbit reports flagging security-related issues across thousands of repositories and organizations, with findings fed into existing pull-request workflows.
The company frames this as independent of the agent that wrote the code and complementary to established scanners, while using other frontier models and tooling.
CodeRabbit says it joined the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network and is covering $1 million in scans and fixes through with GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT Cyber models according to its blog.
Human reviewers remain responsible for deciding what ships.
If you are a founder shipping agent-written code, ask whether your review can trace a one-line change through every repo that imports it before you merge.
