Lenovo (HKSE: 992) announced reaching a record annual AI infrastructure revenue of over $2 billion and announced an investment of $1 billion over the next three years to accelerate the global deployment of AI for businesses.
Lenovo's commitment to AI is motivated by increased global digitalization and the need for IT infrastructure upgrades. The company is delivering AI to the source of data and leveraging its network of partners to construct ready-to-deploy solutions that allow intelligent computing at the edge. The investment will expand Lenovo's AI-ready portfolio of smart devices, infrastructure solutions, and services.
As part of this investment, Lenovo is committing $100 million to grow the Lenovo AI Innovators program, which has developed over 150 AI solutions in collaboration with 45 independent software vendor partners in its first year. The solutions are assisting customers in rapidly deploying and leveraging advanced AI capabilities like Generative AI, computer vision, voice AI, and virtual assistants.
"As we continue our path to become the world’s largest end-to-end infrastructure solutions provider, Lenovo is committed to being the most trusted partner and empowering our customers’ intelligent transformation by bringing AI to the source of their data, at the edge," said Kirk Skaugen, President of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group.
Lenovo is extending its comprehensive portfolio of AI-ready infrastructure to over 70 products, with new AI-optimized edge-to-cloud server platforms, including the Lenovo ThinkEdge SE360 V2 and ThinkEdge SE350 V2, and the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675 V3. The servers help address any AI workload and allow for real-time inferencing at the edge.
Beyond infrastructure, Lenovo is implementing AI from the pocket to the cloud, with cutting-edge smart devices and solutions, ensuring data science accessibility across all industries in the new hybrid and remote work era.
