Israeli Generative AI startup, D-ID, revealed major enhancements to its Creative Reality™ Studio, including a revamped user interface and the novel feature of adding facial expressions to digital avatars and people. The startup also upgraded its chat.d-id, allowing users to upload any image of their choice to converse in real time face-to-face with a Generative AI of their selection.
The Creative Reality™ Studio by D-ID is undergoing consistent improvement, dedicated to providing the best user experience for its diverse user base, which includes brands, corporations, creators, marketers, digital artists, and more. By upgrading to the new version of the Creative Reality™ Studio, users can have the option to select the facial expressions for their avatars, allowing them to add more emotions and set the tone of their videos. Moreover, users can choose from wide, square, or vertical video formats and manage foreground and background elements.
According to the startup, since its launch in the second half of 2022, the Creative Reality™ Studio has garnered immense popularity, with a new user subscription every three seconds and over 150 million videos generated from the technology. D-ID's live-streaming capability and its API, which were introduced in March 2023, have also gained significant traction. Both the Creative Reality Studio and chat.D-ID - the latter adding a face and voice to ChatGPT - draw millions of unique users each month. The startup stated it generated over 25,000 API keys already, with a developer waiting list of over one million.
The update comes on the heels of a significant partnership with Canva and their App Marketplace, announced in March this year, enabling Canva's 125 million monthly global users to leverage D-ID's avatar technology. Their Generative AI avatars enable Canva users to bring their imagination to life, providing content creators with the tools to select an avatar, voice, language, and style using D-ID's intuitive app.
