London's TILKI Raises €1.8M for AI Game Creation Platform

London-based TILKI secured €1.8 million in pre-Seed funding for its AI-powered game creation platform. Twin Path Ventures led the round. Atlas AI^VB Fund I (Atlas sgr), XTX Ventures, and SFC Capital also participated.

Founded in 2024, TILKI enables creators to build immersive video games without coding experience. Furthermore, the platform aims to generate dynamic experiences where non-player characters make autonomous decisions. Player choices reportedly have persistent effects on the game environment, allowing storylines to evolve.

TILKI aims to democratize game creation.

Advancing AI Game Development

The 17-person TILKI team combines video game developers, AI researchers, and machine learning engineers. Team members previously built games for major companies like Atari, Sony, Microsoft, and NVIDIA. Additionally, senior team members contributed to a user-generated content platform for 14 million players. They also founded other AI startups.

TILKI's AI model expands beyond traditional pre-made game experiences. Non-player characters move freely and make autonomous decisions with meaningful consequences. This creates dynamic storytelling. It differs from static, pre-scripted interactions in conventional gaming.

The company plans to launch a closed beta in six months. An open beta will follow within one year. This funding will also support an accessible marketplace for players to share strategies and collaborate on game elements.
