Legion has emerged from stealth, securing a combined $38 million in Seed and Series A financing. The funding round was co-led by Accel and Picture Capital, with additional participation from Coatue and several angel investors. The company was founded by former managers from Microsoft's Sentinel cyber protection team.
The new capital will advance its AI-powered security operations center (SOC). Unlike competitors such as Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike that primarily monitor network or endpoint layers, Legion focuses specifically on detecting threats within the user's browser. This provides a different layer of defense against modern attacks.
