Defense technology startup Anduril has raised a staggering $2.5 billion in a Series G funding round, more than doubling its valuation to $30.5 billion. The round was led by Founders Fund, which contributed a record-breaking $1 billion investment for the firm. Existing investors also participated significantly, with the round reportedly being oversubscribed by a factor of eight.
This substantial investment comes after Anduril doubled its revenue in 2024, reaching approximately $1 billion. The company's success is further fueled by its recent acquisition of a significant U.S. Army contract for developing AR/VR headsets for soldiers, originally awarded to Microsoft.
Anduril develops autonomous weapons systems and the software to control them. The new funding will likely support further expansion of its operations, research and development efforts, and continued growth in the defense technology sector. The company's founder, Palmer Luckey, recently celebrated a partnership with Meta, further solidifying Anduril's position in the industry.
The funding round was announced by Anduril Executive Chair and co-founder Trae Stephens, who is also a partner at Founders Fund, during an interview on Bloomberg Television.
