Upworksell was a website operated by Oleksandr Didenko that facilitated identity theft. It allowed individuals, including North Korean workers, to purchase or rent stolen identities of U.S. citizens to gain fraudulent employment at U.S. companies. The earnings from these jobs were then funneled back to North Korea to fund its nuclear weapons program. The FBI seized Upworksell in 2024. (formerly [].)
