Umbrasec

Umbrasec is an independent defensive security research project focused on detection engineering, threat analysis, and open-source tooling for defenders. They publish technical writeups, threat analyses of ransomware crews targeting SMBs, and guides on securing AI agents, all aimed at helping organizations detect and mitigate real-world threats in their own logs. The project emphasizes reproducible detections mapped to MITRE ATT&CK techniques and is built on sourced, not asserted, technical claims.
