PrediMed develops multiple AI based tools. PrediMed is currently developing an AI-based clinical decision support system that aims to reduce the use of sedation and general anesthesia in children undergoing MRI scans. The MRI scan is considered as a wonderful imaging modality for children. But it also requires the child to lie still for a long period of time - which can be a big challenge for children. The prevalent solution to this problem today in most MRI institutes is to sedate the examined children with general anesthesia, solely for the purpose of the scan. This in turn produces tremendous anxiety among parents and children and entails considerable risks and costs. PrediMed's system customizes the MRI scan experience for each child by learning its individual needs and matching these with local aids and point-solutions existing at the local MRI institute, to increase the child's success rate of undergoing a sedation-free MRI scan. PrediMed was founded by a diverse team of researchers, engineers, and doctors - all graduates of the Biodesign-Stanford program, which is held in collaboration with Rambam Hospital and the Technion at Haifa. Currently, the company is conducting a clinical trial and has also established future collaborations with several leading clinical institutions worldwide.
