We are an ambitious startup company aiming to end piglet castration forever, by providing the first non-destructive, inexpensive, sustainable, carcass on-line classification, addressing an immediate market of EUR 500m in the EU alone. Castration of piglets impairs animal welfare, increases gas emissions, and decreases farmers’ economy. Therefore, it has been criticized by the public and the EU has been aiming to ban surgical castration since 2018. Our solution offers a non-destructive alternative to the castration, by immediate grading of boar taint and additional measures for quality and safety at the slaughter line by an advanced optical system coupled with AI.
