Slime and aquatic organisms accumulate rapidly on underwater surfaces, leading to a 2.5% loss in speed due to increased drag and more than 10% excess fuel consumption. When hulls are not proactively cleaned, later biofouling formations can result in up to 80% additional fuel costs. NakAI’s fully autonomous AI-guided hull cleaning robot addresses this climate-critical challenge. Our easily installed robotic platform travels with the ship, deploys autonomously during sailing, and removes early-stage slime and biofouling while inspecting anti-fouling coating and hull integrity.
