Owen Lozman

Owen Lozman is responsible for Electronics and Technology investments within M Ventures, the strategic venture capital fund of Merck. M Ventures’ mandate is to invest in innovative technologies and products with the potential to significantly impact Merck‘s core business areas. From our headquarters in Amsterdam and offices in the US and Israel, we invest globally in transformational ideas driven by great entrepreneurs. M Ventures takes an active role in its portfolio companies and teams up with entrepreneurs and co-investors to translate innovation towards commercial success. M Ventures has a significant focus on early-stage investing and company creation including the creation of spin-offs to leverage Merck‘s science and technology base. Previously, Owen was a Senior Director and head of R&D in the Advanced Technologies business of Merck's Performance Materials (now Electronics) Business. Before that, he worked at Fujifilm, Avecia and the University of Leeds. Owen is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a member of the Advanced Materials Leadership Council (AMLC) - a small, agile strategic steering group interfacing between UK industry and government - with strong links to the materials and supply chain elements of different UK industrial sectors.
