Mark Wassersug

As ICE’s COO, Wassersug built and led ICE’s operations, engineering, IT and customer support teams throughout his 21-year career at ICE, transforming Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) from a startup to $60bln global Fintech leader. Instrumental in designing and scaling ICE’s technology and operations practices through unprecedented organic growth and 40+ corporate acquisitions and integrations, Wassersug led a team of ~2,000 engineering and technical professionals building and supporting over 400 different enterprise applications deployed across six global data centers and multiple cloud environments. Responsible for infrastructure and IT design, Wassersug led all M&A related technology and operations due diligence and integration activities including the New York Stock Exchange. Wassersug assumed the additional role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2022 focused on working closely with the PE/VC community to identify disruptive technologies that would solve key challenges facing ICE and its NYSE-listed companies. Wassersug plays an active role as an advisor, board member and investor in early-stage companies applying his vast experience operating ICE from a startup with less than 100 people to a $60B global fintech leader with over 10,000 employees around the world to help the companies and entrepreneurs grow, scale and succeed in a dynamic marketplace
