Mark Moran

Mark Moran is a former Virginia Democratic primary candidate for Senate. He was suspended and fined by the prediction market platform Kalshi for "political insider trading" related to wagering bets on his own campaign. Moran declined to settle the fine, receiving the largest penalty of $6,200 and a five-year suspension from the platform. He stated that his goal was to draw attention to societal issues and that he had traded $100 on himself.
