Lowell Paxson

Lowell "Bud" Paxson was a prominent figure in American broadcasting, known for co-founding the Home Shopping Network (HSN) in the early 1980s. He also founded Paxson Communications Corporation in 1991, which later became Ion Media Networks and launched Pax TV (now Ion Television). Paxson's career in media began with radio stations, where he pioneered the concept of selling merchandise over the air.
