Louis Bont is a full professor in Pediatrics specialized in infectious diseases and immunology. He leads the RSV Research Group and the non-profit ReSViNET foundation. He has performed more than 30 clinical studies, including large placebo-controlled multicenter trials as lead investigator. He has an international focus with collaborations around the world. He is a regular advisor of the World Health Organization for RSV vaccine development. He leads the RSV GOLD mortality study, which is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, with active collaborators in more than fifty countries around the world. Louis Bont was one of the founders of the successful TULIPS career program in 2006 for young researchers in the field of Child Health in the Netherlands.
