Joshua Levinberg

Joshua Levinberg was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and studied at a local school that has now become famous for its reputation of educating students who have gone on to become successful international entrepreneurs. He continued his studies at the Tel Aviv University, where he was awarded a degree in electronics and electrical engineering and with that degree in hand, he went on to become one of the founders at Gilat Satellite Networks, where he serves as Co-Founder and Senior Advisor for Corporate Business Development and Strategy today. While maintaining his relationship with Gilat, Joshua Levinberg continued establishing businesses and increasing his investments in technological endeavors. As such, he joined his brother in the creation of JAL Ventures, which includes investments in multiple companies such as Matan Digital Printers, Kargal, DenTack, Feedvisor and NanoRep. He also established Global Village Telecom, a company based in Brazil that provides Internet and Telecommunications solutions to the local population. A popular lecturer and guest speaker, Joshua Levinberg spoke at the MIT Enterprise Forum in Tel Aviv. He described to the audience how Gilat became involved in Brazil's telecommunications market and the opportunities that are presenting themselves in the largest country in Latin America. As a participant in the Mergermarket M&A in Israel Conference, he spoke on ways to raise capital for start-ups in the field of high-tech citing personal examples as well as probing the pros and cons of funding from the NASDAQ. When interviewed by satellitemarket.com, he mentioned upcoming trends in the satellite communications industry and how Gilat, as a recognised leader in the field, will address those evolving demands. Gilat is in the forefront of the newest technologies and will integrate its new systems into military communications systems throughout the world, taking into account each country's corporate and business needs.
