About
I am a physician-researcher and head of clinical research at the Sharett Institute of Oncology, Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center. I am a senior medical oncologist, specializing in melanoma and cancer immunotherapy and also a member of the gastro-intestinal medical oncology team. I have extensive experience employing cancer-immunotherapy including cellular therapies and handling their toxicities. I also head development and conduction of the clinical program for adoptive cell therapy in our Institute. As head of clinical research, I am expanding research at all phases with a specific emphasis on early phase studies. My goal is to make cutting edge treatments available for our patients while further establishing the Sharett Institute as a center of excellence attracting established pharmaceutical companies, local start-ups and serving as a location to test new technologies stemming from local research. I hold a PhD in neuroscience and lead a research group investigating various aspects of cancer immunology. A main research topic combines my passion for oncology and neuroscience looking into the immunological response in brain metastases. I am a faculty member at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and am involved in many formal and informal teaching activities.
