About
Issy was a Director of Engineering in Google Cloud, managing cloud migration and app modernization products. Issy joined Google following the acquisition of Velostrata, where he was CEO and co-founder. Prior to Velostrata he was CTO in VMware's End User Computing division, following the acquisition of his second startup, desktop virtualization Wanova, where he was CTO and Co-Founder. Prior to Wanova, he was the CTO of the Application Delivery Business Unit in Cisco, following the acquisition of WAN optimization pioneer Actona, where he was CTO and Co-founder. Issy started his career at IBM's Haifa research lab. Later, he joined the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, as assistant professor, where he worked for 6 years on distributed systems engineering. He received his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Columbia University and a B.Sc. in mathematics and computer science from Tel Aviv University. He wrote a bunch of research papers and holds 21 US patents.
