Gill Bejerano

Gill Bejerano has been running his own Stanford research lab of 10-20 individuals since early 2007. This includes general management, goal setting, operations and funding. Gill has trained, collaborated and advised computational scientists, clinicians, MBAs and experimentalists and has advised both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Gill holds a B.Sc. (summa cum laude) In Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, and a Ph.D in Computer Science (Machine Learning and applications in Biomedicine) from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Gill got into genomics data science in 2003, started a wet lab in 2007, began analyzing patient genomes and medical records in 2014, got into cryptogenomics in 2017 and into healthcare economics and patient risk management using machine learning in 2021. He is recognized by multiple academic awards including best paper awards, tomorrow's principal investigator award, Mallinckrodt, Sloan, Human Frontiers, Searle, Okawa, David and Lucile Packard, Microsoft and Sony Scholar awards.
