Geoffrey Irving

Geoffrey Irving is the Cofounder and Chief Scientist at Resolution, where he researches ASI safety and alignment. He co-created TensorFlow and has held leadership roles at the UK AI Security Institute, DeepMind, and OpenAI, contributing to multimodal Gemini models and early research into fine-tuning LLMs from human preferences. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford and previously worked in computational physics for film production at Pixar and Weta Digital.
