About
Bruce served as US Country Chair and President of Shell Oil Company from April 2016 to end of 2018 His role involved engaging with public, private, media and non-governmental leaders on a wide range of energy policy issues. He was accountable for developing and advocating for innovative, industry-leading solutions to the challenge of securing safe, affordable and sustainable energy sources. He graduated with honors from the University of Alabama in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management. He began his career with Shell at the Norco Manufacturing Complex in Louisiana, and over the course of the next 38 years, he served in numerous Upstream and Downstream leadership roles of increasing responsibility and scope both domestically and internationally. Bruce is an avid outdoorsman and has a keen interest in land and water conservation. He is as a board member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, the Coastal Conservation Association's Building Conservation Trust and volunteers for a number of other organizations.
